Carolina Parakeet, Inc. takes its name from the now extinct bird that was North America's only native parakeet. The company was started by Donna Siemen, a certified tea and etiquette consultant.

Like the Carolina Parakeet, good manners and the refined lifestyle so often associated with tea time are becoming endangered. While we can no longer save the Carolina Parakeet, we can restore civility to our society. Maybe even a portion of that genteel, unhurried lifestyle that tea time evokes can be revived as well, as we take a quiet moment for tea.
